Overview
UBL 2.1 CreditNote is the OASIS XML syntax for a credit note — a schema of its own, with its own root element and its own namespace, separate from Invoice.
When it is used
Used to cancel or correct an invoice already sent. Putting credit-note content inside an Invoice document is a frequent and immediately fatal mistake: the two namespaces differ.
