MS02 - Reason not specified by customer

What this code means

MS02 means the debtor refused the payment but gave no reason. The refusal is real and deliberate; the "why" simply was not communicated through the payment chain.

Typical causes

• The debtor refused a direct debit without stating a motive to their bank.
• The debtor disputes the underlying invoice but did not say so formally.
• The debtor no longer wants the service and simply blocked the collection.

What to do

Resubmitting will not produce an explanation and will likely be refused again. Contact the debtor directly to find out why, resolve the underlying issue, and only then collect again. This rejection is final.
