Austria - e-invoicing mandate
No B2B mandate — B2G to the federal government since 2014
Austria has no B2B e-invoicing mandate: electronic invoicing between businesses is optional. Contractual partners of the FEDERAL government (Bund) have had to invoice electronically since 2014, submitted through the USP portal or Peppol — but the obligation does not extend to the Länder or the municipalities. The national ebInterface format coexists with Peppol-UBL.
